My project is based on removal of antibiotic resistant gene and for that I was trying to design primer specific for that gene only in bacteria. However ,I find out that in NCBI BLAST tool website ,it only have data base related to particular organism not the gene, if any one knows how I check my primer specificity ,let me know.
You can search the databases for the gene by name or by homology if you have one example sequence.
I dont think you can do that on the NCBI page, but ARG-Annot has a Blast application

I would consider downloading the sequence of your target gene for all species and then doing a sequence alignment using MUSCLE so you can design your primers against conserved regions.
