Hi. I am using IEEE 14 bus network with MATPOWER. I want to take this network as a distribution system with one substation (33KV) and consider the rest of the buses as 11KV feeders. The bus 1 is the first 11 KV feeder and so on. My questions are:
1. How should i change the data in MatPower to reflect these changes and obtain the power flow results?
2. Can i use the same data as given in MATPOWER case14.m? or change it.
I am not sure of these two things... please help me

You should not use the IEEE 14 case for a distribution network analysis. The topology and the parameters of the transmission system and distribution system are quite different.
Actually there are not so many distribution system cases in matpower. You can try the IEEE 33 case for distribution system analysis.

It is too easy to run MATPOWER load flow codes.
Example: run case14.m
1) download matpower software freely available online
2) change MATLAB directry to it
3) opf('case14')
4) Enter
The final results will appear in command window..
You can edit any datafiles available in the matpower folder. It is really very easily editable while opening the file in any text reader or in MATLAB.
can anybody tell me how to run economic dispatch using MATPOWER, so what is the function chould we use ?
