I want to use lithium metal as counter and reference electrode, as well know, it is very unstable in air, and turn to black very soon. any suggestion for the experimental details will be greatly appreciated

You have to take into account the amount of humidity in the glove box don't exceed 1 ppm, you will have better measurements.
