I am studying the characteristics of frequency in teaching applied statistics and in epidemiology. Frequency represents the number of observations of the same value. For example, the number of people infected with Covid-19 virus among those who were tested for samples. The frequency of a value can be expressed in different ways depending on the purpose of the study. Frequency can be measured with relative or absolute frequency. Relative frequency is an indication of the frequency in a correlation with the sample size. The relative frequency is expressed as the relative value of the event, including the ratio, proportion and rate. But I don't really understand how to properly use these concepts. I hope there are more examples for me to refer to or more materials to mention about these concepts.
