You could easily try 5ASA suppositories

Assuming that this is related to the IBD, either 5 ASA or cortisone suppositories should be effective. Is it possible that this is not IBD related? Have biopsies confirmed etiology? 

You can use budesonid foam in case of IBD. But you need to exclud other reasons like pouchitis or cancerous lesoons.

Thank you very much. Will definitely advise local medications. Pouch looked normal. Biopsy was not taken as it was very mild.

If this is not IBD based and instead due to other inflammation types, I have found that a Sucralfate tablet inserted as a suppository is very effective.

5ASA or Steroid suppositories will be the easiest and quickest way to helping this patient.

• Apart from 5ASA and steroid enemas/suppositories, a course of oral antibiotic like ciprofloxacin and metronidazole can be tried especially if the patient is having diarrhoea in addition to bleed.
