I have 5000 of original and their processed images. In both the data sets, I applied 1st order markov model and measured some features. Thus, I have 5000 features for the original 5000 images and another 5000 features for the 5000 processed images. I want to apply MATLAB tools svmtrain to classify the modified images. What will be the process to do that? If you know the ways please help me by providing a few lines of code so that I can use these in my program to train and test as well as to classify the images. The classification will work to detect whether an image is modified or not. I am humbly requesting your guidelines and support. Thanks in advance for your help.

you can use CNN to classify your image by CNN toolbox in matlab2017. you need to concatenate your two set of feature and then classify by CNN because of automatic feature extraction of CNN classifier.

You can use the function hmmdecode in the HMM to compute the probability of each feature.
Then, you can choose a threshold value that separates the two sets of images.
If you wish to use the SVM, the following library may be useful

Using the built in matlab svm toolbox is probably to easiest and most comfortable way. Alternatives are libsvm, mentioned above and spider:

An alternative method to classify is artificial neural networks. I only experienced the matlab neural networks toolbox and for many classification problems svm and ann are comparable.
If training takes to much time please consider reducing the number of features used for training. Hmmdecode is one option, you might also want to try principal component analysis to reduce feature space.

I will recommend you to use matlab2017b version. State-of-the-art tools like CNN/Deep Learning is available with online tutorials which can easily apply for image classification problem. All the best..
