Due to mobility reasons, I have decided to make my own UV-Ozone sterilizing box, which is intended to be used for two or three jobs.
It consists of two vacuum-UV lamps (185 nm), aluminum reflector, and external ozone source from a commercial ozone generator (2000 ppm/hr) ... how can I enhance the performance of my setup and how I can test its effectiveness?!
Does any one have used UV-Ozone sterilization on steel?! what was the results regarding contamination cleaning (neglecting the corrosion behavior)?
I recommend you to introduce a latex glove into the sterilizing box. If it works and produces enough ozone, the latex glove will be destroyed by the ozone corrosion in a few minutes. It's a qualitative way to test your equipment. If you want to test it by quantitative methods you should buy a ozone sensor, for example, one of those in Amazon:

Dear Mohamed Saleh Saad Attalla If you want to test the effect of ozone in your sterilizing box through a microbiological approach, I recommend you the following experiment.
you can cough into a Petri dish, spread the sputum/ droplets homogeneously on the dish, take a sample with a sterile swab and time it to zero. Put the plate in your steriliser box, and set a timer. At 2.5 minutes you take another swab sample and label it as time 1. At 5 minutes you take sample 2. At 10 minutes you take sample 3, at 20 minutes you take sample 4. Then you do a sowing on a lawn plate with a general culture medium, e.g. Tryptic Soy Agar, and analyse how the colony-forming unit count decreases over time. If you see that your bacteria disappear by time 2, you can repeat the experiment with decreasing times, e.g. time 0, 30 seconds, 1 minute, 1.5 minutes, 1.5 minutes, 2 minutes, 3 minutes, 4 minutes, 5 minutes.
