I performed Willamson hall analysis of 4 smaples of YAG nanoparticles . I included top 9 peaks (same) in each case to get a linear fit line.However, in two samples adj R square value is positive whereas in othe two samples it is negative,so does the slope.How can I obtain good plot for all 4 samples for comparison purpose(comparison of crystallite size and strain).
Do you use the same conditions of preparation for all 4 samples or Do you change some parameters during synthesis?. Negative or positive slop of W-H plot may indicate that the unit cell under compression or tension respectively. I hope that you used SRM (LaB6, Si, ...etc) to correct the instrumental broadening before profile fitting.
I increased %age of gelling agent in different samples, which further led to increase in calcination temperature .
So will that be OK if I usestrain and crystallite size obtained from linear fit with -ve slope and -ve adjusted R-square value to compare with other samples? and Is -ve adjusted R-square value is a matter of worry?
