Hello, I had been trying to model a portal frame wrapped with CFRP in ABAQUS. To tie the CFRP laminates with frame I need to use slave/master surface interaction. But whenever I try to model the frame the job ends up with the error "CONSTRAINT CONTROLS" saying "56 nodes are used more than once as a slave node in tie keyword. These constrainsts are not removed either due to presence of CONSTRAINT CONTROLS, no changes keyword or because removing the nodes might affect the model."
Can anyone suggest how to overcome this?

If you have selected a shell element and want to paste it on both sides of the CFRP, the abaqus will give an error because the dots overlap. So you either have to use the solid element or partition the element and tie the parts separately.
