I had synthesized Ag/CNTs nanocomposite by follow prosses;
After synthesizing CNTs, to remove carbon contamination, thermal oxidation was carried out for one hour at 480 °C. Then it was refluxed in distilled water for 10 minutes in the ultrasonic bath, stirred in mixed solution of HCl (3M) and HNO3 (3M) for 3 hours and finally washed in distillated water and dried at 120 °C.
Washing CNTs in nitric acid, lead to the formation functional groups (such as -OH, -C=O, -C-O and COOH) on the surface of carbon nanotubes. These functional groups can act as locations for the nucleation and formation of Ag nanoparticles. Then, 0.2 gr CNTs were solved in 50 cc of NaOH. Then, 2.1 gr of AgNO3 were solved in 50 cc distilled water. The solution of NaOH and CNTs was stirred on the hot plate and the solution of AgNO3 was added into the first solution. After saturating the solution, and it finally become neutral (pH=7.2). Then, the sample was dried at 120˚C in 1 hour and then it was calcinated at 400 ˚C for 2 hours. Finally, Ag nanoparticles were formed on the surface of CNTs.
Thanku so much sir for your suggestion, it is very imp. for me. pls sir guide me what is CC? and can i use muffle furnace for calcination purpose ? pls sir guide me .. i am waiting for ur response.
