I intend to characterize the fluorescence property of an unidentified fluorophore in a liquid culture. However, the analysis was interfered by the fluorescent flavins (predominantly riboflavin) produced by bacteria.

I learnt that C18 column can remove flavins from the liquid medium, but I found that it also removed the fluorophore I wanted to study.

Is it possible to specifically remove flavins? Thanks.
