To check the functionality of ALE adaptive meshing, I was trying to simulate a cyclic loading (9 to 1.8 MPa ) applied on the top surface of a simple rectangular 2D shell deformable part.
#The analysis procedure is coupled temperature-displacement ( Abaqus/Standard) with large deformation ( Nlgeom: on).
# Element attributes are standard, coupled temperature-displacement, linear, reduced Integration ( no hourglass control, distortion control, everything in default setting).
Unfortunately, the job got aborted. I have seen in the youtube people are using adaptive meshing in 2D shell deformable objects and also found in the manual that ALE is applicable for coupled temp.-disp. elements as well as for standard analysis. Not sure why is happening, any idea or suggestions from anyone?
In the .dat file, I got following warning, notes, and errors:
***WARNING: CETOL SPECIFIED ON *COUPLED TEMPERATURE-DISPLACEMENT PROCEDURE BUT
NO CREEP, SWELLING OR VISCOELASTIC PROPERTIES HAVE BEEN DEFINED
