I have a case where I need to simulate the crack growth pattern of a concrete wall subjected to water impact. I have a one-way system coupling setup using ansys fluent and transient structural. I am unsure about how to insert the crack growth to the simulation on ansys.

1- Use the built-in Fracture Mechanics tools:
2- Enable Crack Growth in the Crack object.
3- Choose method:
• VCCT (Virtual Crack Closure Technique) – for linear elastic fracture.
• J-Integral – for elastic-plastic fracture.
• Cohesive Zone Modeling (CZM) – more advanced but works better with system coupling.
Configure:
• Growth direction (radial, planar).
• Crack growth rate (via Paris Law or user-defined).
• Crack extension step size.
Seyyed Ali Musavi Thank you for the reply. Do you mind walking me through the process of enabling crack growth in the crack object as I am not very familiar with Ansys since I am a beginner. The help is much appreciated. i have attached a screenshot of the setup in transient structural.
