Thanks for your response dear. Yes it is broader topic but my concern is with platform (host) verification at IaaS cloud computing. Any cloud host platform incorporates TCG specification to validate integrity, how it can be simulated?

The basic features of cloudsim includes:

1. support for modeling and simulation of large scale Cloud computing data centers

2. support for modeling and simulation of virtualized server hosts, with customizable policies for provisioning host resources to virtual machines

3. support for modeling and simulation of energy-aware computational resources

4. support for modeling and simulation of data center network topologies and message-passing applications

5. support for modeling and simulation of federated clouds

6. support for dynamic insertion of simulation elements, stop and resume of simulation

7. support for user-defined policies for allocation of hosts to virtual machines and policies for allocation of host resources to virtual machines

Moreover, the example simulations that you can perform with this simulator are listed at:

Unfortunately, this simulator is not useful for the simulation of security aspects. Apart, I wonder why do you want to simulate it? Why don't you deploy a virtual cloud environment and test your required security protocols in real environment?

some features of TCG are with OpenStack based clouds. Can you be more specific on the features you are looking for ?

Hi, my suggestion is to write your own class to create malicious vm's and to test your algorithm. This is highly possible in cloudsim. If needed you can contribute your trust part to cloudbus project.

Mr Kasturi thanks for suggesting Open Stack cloud platform as I have also found this in the literature but I wanted to go for simulation just to check my proposed Trusted Cloud Platform. I have also worked with Eucalyptus to understand cloud computing platform architecture.

Finally, Mr Kandaswamy actually i wanted to find support of TCG in CloudSim. If there is i ll go for CloudSim.

We did several practical projects building prototypes that support TCG's TPM within hypervisors / virtualized server hosts  (=2nd point of cloudsim; see Atta ..Khan). 

From this experience I would definitely not recommend you to simulate TCG's TPM. I assume you want to use the trusted boot/attestation mechanism of TPM   (building the static chain of trust using PCR values and comparing PCR values with reference values).  If you want to use this within a simulated environment you will run into trouble sooner or later. The problem with a simulated environment is that you have to load the TPM emulator (e.g.  Mario Strassers emulator; which we used in a first project; see here: http://dl.acm.org/citation.cfm?id=1422933)  before you can use it (of course).  But on the other side, if you want to do attestation (chain of trust) you must start with the CRTM/TPM  as the first block that starts!!  

I would recommend that you find a  PC or notebook that includes a physical TPM and start then.  I can support the  sugggestion of openattestaion (see Haribabu Kasturi ).

You can use TBOOT for trusted boot  (http://tboot.sourceforge.net)

If you "only" want to use the storage functionality and/or the keys (endorsement key etc.)  of TPM then simulation/emulation of TPM is fine.

By the way: We used IMA and TrustedGrub in one of  our projects. If you would like any detailed HOWTO for these technologies  (to install and configure on a linux machine), I can send you…  But I would not recommend TrustedGrub, it is not supported any more.
