After I receive an email "You have a new Full Text Request" and then click on it an it takes me to my publications. However, in almost all cases it does not take me to the person making the request, nor to the boxes that allow me to share my paper. In today's case, that paper has already been uploaded by a co-author, so it should be available to add to my response.
Wayne - if another co-author has sent copy to the requester - then you will not be able to send another copy.
Outside of contacting your co-authors, is there any way of knowing, if indeed, the paper has been shared?
You get notified about all the activities of your publication. Anyone of the co-authors could share the publication and you get the notification. At least RG does that. I don't know about any other platform. What you see usually is ... so so has added a new publication and lo, it is yours. You find that frequently on the Home page where all the activities are highlighted.
Maurice--Yes, I see where my co-author has added the paper, but it isn't added as as 'open to the public'. Consequently, people who want to get the paper have to ask for it, and I get requests that I'm unable to fulfill. Perhaps my coauthors are doing that before I get to it, but it would be useful if there was a notification that it had already been shared.
