Dear all,
I want to determine the HOMO and LUMO levels of some organic (i.e. Tricyclazole, Amoxicilline...) via Cyclic Voltammetric (C-V) measurement.
However, I don't know how to set up the experiment as well as some crucial requirements for my experiment. Please provide some advice about my situation!
Note: Ferrocene was chosen as Reference material.

I have read the article that you suggested. The experimental presentation of that paper was not as detailed as I expected.
Specifically, the part uses Ferrocene as the reference material (which I guess acts as a material that has zero redox potential ). However, the experimental procedure is not explicitly described.
I hope to receive a useful suggestion for the experimental process to obtain the expected C-V spectrum.

Quan Doan Mai You measure CVA with a substance (three-electrode cell, solvent, electrolyte), and then add ferrocene to the solution, measure and determine the potential for the substance (you need the E onset of oxidation or reduction) relative to it. You substitute the potential into the formula and count the energy of the orbital. There is also a method DPV for this.
