How to set terminal voltage in COMSOL Multiphysics ?

Hi all,

I run a COMSOL model to generate thermoelectric voltage. Is it necessary to choose the terminal voltage at the n-type material and the ground at the p-type material? If so, should I set the terminal voltage to 0 and why?
