How to separate glass cap and glass bottle joint?

During degassing the glass-glass attachment of Millipore's fritted glass support base cap and ground joint flask became too tight to open. Is anyone having any solution to separate the fritted cap from the flask?

Dear sir, Thank you very much for your kind response.

I have already separated it today by autoclaving for twice (15 psi/15 minutes for each), but this was not very easy process.

I am also expecting other ideas, information, experiences regarding this issue from others.
