In COMSOL Multiphysics, i can choose a medium to be 'Air' by adding material 'Air' and selecting the relevant domain which i want to be Air medium. But, what should i do when i want that domain to be a vacuum medium?
Specifically, i have a spherical domain in which i find the electric field enhancement at the apex of a metal tip-sample(substrate). The medium between the tip and sample should be vacuum i.e the spherical domain. I can only select the domain to be a air medium but do not know how to select the medium as Vacuum.
Can anyone explain the procedures? Thanks in advance

I was selecting either dielectric loss or refractive index as the electric displacement field in wave equation physics in COMSOL. Dielectric loss selects relative permittivity(real and imaginary), relative permeability and electric conductivity as the properties from material whereas refractive index selects only n,k value of the material. So, neither of those methods need thermal conductivity of the material. In this case, what should i do?
