I would write out the equation and explain what the variables stand for. Any other information such as your apriori notion and signs of the coefficient I would put in a following paragraph. Example :
C = a + bY, where C is for consumption, Y is for disposable income, and a and b are constants.
I expect apriori that the sign of the coefficient b would be positive and that its level in the short run would would be around .70 according to Keynes, and around .9 in the long run according to Freidman.
