I've been doing a bit of reading and found that insoluble nanoparticles like TiO2 are insoluble in water, so when they enter the body they are extremely slow to be removed. Exposure is common because they're used in everything from paint, toothpaste, sunscreen, foods, etc. So repeated exposure will cause and increase in TiO2 level overtime. What theoretically could be done to remove this TiO2 build up? I was thinking that a blood transfusion (or some particle filtering system similar to dialysis) could be done, find some sort of binder that binds to TiO2 specifically to aid in removal, or removal by sweat or ultrasonic vibrations? Any other thoughts?
