I have created a lattice structure using Autodesk Netfabb and saved it as a .stl file. I want to export it as .iges to ANSYS to conduct FEA but the file size is too big and it crashes. When I try reducing the .stl file size using Netfabb, the quality of the lattice structure is bad and distorted. How do I combat this issue? Thanks in advance!

Try to save it as AMF format (the size is smaller then STL) and you can input to ANSYS by introducing it first in SpaceClaim as geometry and link for your FEA case.

Try to change the file extension to step and if that does not work try to divide the body into several sections and make a separate mesh each one and make sure that the whole body is of one format
I have solved the issue. What i did was I saved my .stl file as a .nas (MSC NASTRAN FEA software) file format and imported it as a mesh file directly into ANSYS Workbench.
