The Bi-Zn-Sn alloy shows cracks edge when sheared. If at all annealing is to be done, at what temperature should it be done to reduce brittleness of the above mentioned alloy?
For shearing, look into adiabatic presses. Magnetic pulse drives punch at 2,500 mm/sec. and should eliminate cracks and burrs without annealing. Also yields 100% shear over wall thickness.
