How do I know if there is a method like predictive net to detect histone acetylation modifications (e.g. H3K9ac or H4K5ac) in target genes before the experiment? I am a new student in histone modification and I need to test the PEPC gene for H3K9ac or H4K5ac, but when I reported my study scheme, other teachers asked me how do I know there are H3K9ac or H4K5ac in PEPC ? I think histone modifications regulate chromatin relaxation and therefore should regulate PEPC as well. But I'm not sure I'm right. Is there anyone willing to help me?
