Mainly i am working in photocatalytic reduction of CO2 in water medium using TiO2. When i am using water medium , i cannot quantify the MeOH using GC analysis because it is present in water reaction mixture. However most of the literature saying that they have done the analysis through GC-FID analysis.
Due to this problem i tried in ceric ammonium nitrate test for methanol identification, but the formation of MeOH is very less quantity, so i cannot do by this method.
So is there any option to quantity the MeOH formation
