How to purify my DNA extract?

I need help with the purification of my plant DNA extracts.

I have extracted DNA from plants using the CTAB method.

I have a good concentration of DNA, however my A260/A280 ratios are low, most of them are below 1.8 and are in the 1.4-0.8 range

Could someone help me to improve the purity ratio?

Is it possible to purify the extract directly without doing another extraction, (remove phenolic compounds and polysaccharides)?
