I need to make 3.8% (w/v) solution Fe-EDTA and 0.1% (w/v) NaMo•4H2O for NMS media.

1. So far I've seen most protocols use Na2EDTA.2H2O + Fe(NH4)2(SO4)2•6H2O to make Fe-EDTA. One from Garcia-Pirchel's lab website uses Na2EDTA•2H2O + FeSO4•7H2O + KOH. I have FeSO4•7H2O and KOH in the lab and plan to use this way. I don't have Na2EDTA but I do have EDTA. Which brings me to my question: can I use EDTA for the mentioned recipe?

2. 0.1% (w/v) NaMo•4H2O - can someone let me know how can I make this? I have Sodium molybdate and sodium molybdate (VI) dihydrate in the lab. Can these be used to prepare the 0.1% (w/v) NaMo•4H2O ? I can't seem to find any protocols for this specific reagent.

Thank you in advanced.
