Someone recommend me to do SEM analysis as TEM is not available right now, i have M13KO7 helper plasmid which i produce m13 phages and i want to know if there is any simple way to prepare a glass slide for phages? or there is only one way to just, coating on carbon grid and then negative staining as for TEM sample preparation. Thanks
Just place a drop of solution on a piece of carbon tape. best to be the environmental ESEM to work at low pressure.
TEM is much better for your task.

I agree that TEM is bettie, but I have broken glass slides before for SEM when working with sperm and pollen samples. tEh samples were placed on poly-lysine coated slides, broken, Critical Point Dried, Placed on a stub adn sputter coated. You're looking for something much smaller, but if the technique helps I figured I would share it. TEM is really the way to go anytime you look at a virus.
