In the first place, it seems to me, that you should concentrate on your personal interest and then on the availability of the information that you could obtain, that is, on the key informants of the topic of interest, that surely with the advance of the investigation will be polished up Complete the thesis project. Greetings and success
In general, pursuing a master's degree depends on your interest. If you want to work in the academic line, it is preferable to pursuit your studies in the same area as the Bachelor`s specialization, i.e. Business Administration.
If you have a way to pay your living and your studies follow your dream. Otherwise, follow the opportunities which will guide you to gain a good education and work hard to establish yourself.
To pursue a master's degree first of all you must clarify in your mind why to do it and how can help you in your life. If you are clear about your intentions my personal opinion is to do a short search which fields are going to be the most excited for the next year to come..and go for it!
How to pick a master degree and what are potential graduate degrees that will set you up for a career in research and writing?
Maybe it is good to start with the second part of the question ‘what are potential graduate degrees that will set you up for a career in research and writing’. I think any scientific field actually, if you are interested in science, being it in the STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) and its applied sectors or in the social field. There is so much we do not have any understanding/knowledge about and insights of e.g. nature, biology, the human brains, the heavens/cosmos and the earth. And when you say a career, do you mean a profession to earn a living in the short term or are you aiming for the long run? Do you want to set standards in an existing field or in a new one? And you want to research and write. Well these are crafts you have to learn to master, independent of your field of study.
And then the first part of your question: ‘how to pick a master degree?’ My question to you is ‘do you go for your heart (passion) or for your pocketbook (earning a living)?’. Sometimes what you are not passionate about can earn you a lot of money or a living. But I think if there is no love for something you can’t survive doing it for a long period of time, you have to have some love or passion for it. It is just like a marriage or a relationship. So you have to ask yourself what you are passionate about? What are you curious about? Which questions do you want to answer from a scientific point of view? What would you like to do even if you wouldn’t get paid for it. And what do you want to contribute to society? So maybe you have to answer the heart or the pocketbook question first and then make a list, a checklist and keep talking to professionals while adjusting your checklist.
But because you have a bachelor in business and maybe you want to continue in that direction, Artificial Intelligence (AI) can be a good option.
