Hello, I'd like to analyze a copper catalyst dispersed on a carbon GDL. The thickness of the sample is about 200-250 microns. Does anyone developed a method for analyzing this kind of samples. More specifically, I need to answer these questions:
1. What kind of sample holder to use (e.g. Top loading)?
2. How to fix the GDL layer on the top surface of the sample holder to avoid flying or sample movement?
3. Which shape and dimension (Geometry) of the GDL it is necessary to use. Is it necessary to shape the GDL to the diameter of the sample holder?
4. Is it necessary to use something like a Plasticine to sort the alignment of the sample?
5. How to avoid the plasticine contrinution to the diffractogram?
6. Which or how to calculate the penetration depth of the X-rays through the sample for a standard Cu tube?
Thanks in advance, I hope this question might be of interest also for other researcher in the field.
Cheers
