Hi Hai,

It is a bit hard to give sound suggestions without more contect on the material's structure. Assuming that by "carboxylic groups" you mean carboxylic acids, you could do a diamine (e.g. ethylenediamine) coupling, which is a very standard reaction, many protocols available and the reagents (if well chosen) are not too hazardous. See attached pdf.
