Hello everyone. I have been working on bistable states of a hemispherical shell cut at a height( like cutting a tennis ball at particular height). I have been able to do static analysis of hyper elastic( neo-hookian) material. But while doing explicit dynamic analysis, the elements distort excessively. Can anyone please provide some guidance?

1. Could you please share the type of element you are using in simulations. Please make sure to use Hourglass control if elements with reduced integration are used.
2. In explicit dynamics please check the stable incremental time step that you need to use.
3. Try using implicit dynamic analysis and see if the solution works.
@Amar Nath Sir I am using explicit element from Axisymmetric stress family. Hourglass control is set n default. Even using implicit analysis, results are not showing any considerable difference. I can upload some photos. If you can provide me any further help, please let me know.
Sure upload some pics that might help. You remove the reduced integration then there will not be any distortion.
