Dear Colleagues,

we need to prepare mixture of water and salt with mass density > 1.6 g/ml. Lowe et al. JFM 2005 "The non-Boussinesq lock-exchange problem. Part 1. Theory and experiments" used sodium iodide, which is a quite expensive salt. Is anybody aware of a cheaper (non toxic, secure etc.) salt that we could use for our purposes?
