I would like to ask you for your opinion. Recently, I conducted a research study to find out whether or not there is difference in moral reasoning between people with BA, MA, and PhD degrees. I gave them three different scenarios and all three scenarios were scored in the same way, three levels of moral reasoning.
Now, my question is, which method would be the most useful in analyzing this data? I know that ANOVA is for one independent variable but it seems that I have three (BA, MA, PhD), and the three different scenarios as three different dependent variables. Should I go with MANCOVA? Or maybe correlation study?
[warning: this is slightly provocative] There exists no statistical tool/method that would help you in answering your research question. Reading a good statistics book, as David Eugene Booth suggested, may help you understand why this is the case. So you should probably either refine your question or don't call it "research".
(I don't know if David meant a book that explains the technical details of these methods and gives examples which method to use for which experimental design...there are many books like that but I don't find most these books "good"; -- I mean a book that explains what statistics is good for and how statistical reasoning works. Such books usually don't focus or elaborate on technical details of the procedures you enumerated. They are more about logic, probability theory, and information theory).

As for the Jochen Wilhelm `s comment on the adjective "good" (introduced in the David Eugene Booth `s answer). I agree on this meaning of "good" when it comes to books for higher statistical / mathematical courses.
Otherwise, I would like to broaden the meaning of "good" to books without errors and misinterpretations (and it is an effort!).

first of all, it is essential to understand the basic concepts, e.g.: What is an independent variable and what are variable levels? Therefore, I would recommend to read books on research methods, before starting reading books on statistical methods. This will help you to understand your study design.
Then you can move on and read books on statistical analyses. But: I would advice against starting with chapters on specific statistical methods, without having studied the basic statistical concepts (especially those of inferential statistics) before. Otherwise, it may happen that you will interpret your results inappropriately.
My overall advice: Move forwards step by step.
