Hi everyone.
Recently, I have synthesized SrTiO3 powder via hydrothermal route. According to XRD test data, SrTiO3 crystallines were formed. In order to make the particle size smaller, I decided to use oleic acid. First I dissolved precursor in alcohol and then added oleic acid to this solution and did exactly what I did before but the resultant powder was amorphous and it had this yellowish color, maybe because of the presence of Oleic Acid.
My question is that, the reason I didn't get crystalline powder was because I didn't washed the solution with things like hexane or toluene, in order to get rid of Oleic acid, or that I added OA in a wrong stage of the whole process?
