Dear experts,
I am trying to obtain conductivity value from known thickness and sheet resistance.
However the sheet resistance was expressed with an unit of ohm/sq.
How can I deal with the unit ohm/sq to calculate the conductivity?

Hi Ohm/sq is just a simple way of representing the bulk resistivity of a material of fixed thickness. Say you have 1 Ohm/square.. then if you have two 1cm long electrodes separated on the film by 1cm.. the resistance you will measure is 1 Ohm... similarly if it was 1 inch, or 1m etc..
Now a 2cm separation with 1cm electrodes, the resistance would be 2 Ohms. Its easiest to picture if you think of the sheet area being like resistors in parallel.

If film thickness, t is known, the bulk resistivity, Rho (in ohm cm) can be calculated by multiplying the sheet resistance, Rs by the film thickness (t) in cm;
Rho = Rs x t
Then, conductivity = 1 / resistivity (Rho)
