Hi all, I need to model stress-induced birefringence effects in optical components such as compounded lens etc. The modeling of stress should be done by FEM or similar method, and then the stress induced birefringence distribution should be transfered to optical design software for modeling of wavefront error/distribution of transmitted light etc. What is the proper software or software combination choice for this purpose (Zemax+Ansys/Comsol, Solidworks+Code V etc)?
