I am wondering to ask how I can create a lane closure, dropping a lane of a link due to workzone? I thought maybe I should create a new link with a less lane and connect to the main line by connector. If so, how can I control when vehicles make the lane change?
I also thought the best "measure of effectiveness" would be"V/C" , Intersection Level of service or delay to see the impacts of lane closure. what do you think?

Hi Arash,
A lane can be closed for a particular type of vehicle in Vissim .(button "Lane Closure..." in the link/connector window). In this case, you may close the lane for all the vehicle type. Vissim, uses its inherent rule base lane change model to simulate the lane change trajectory of all the vehicles at the closure point. Hope this information was helpfull.

You can also use intersection queues and delays ( extracted using node output) to compare the differences.

In response to lane closure inside the link menu, vehicles response very late! and make a lane change just from the beginning. Any idea?
