I am currently using EnergyPlus to simulate a one-zone office for model validation. This model will then be used in a larger office.
I have included: SurfaceConvectionAlgorithm:Inside,TARP; SurfaceConvectionAlgorithm:Outside,TARP; HeatBalanceAlgorithm,ConductionTransferFunction; Building,SolarDistribution,FullInteriorAndExteriorWithReflections; into the model.
The other parameters including the people, lights and electrical equipment. All with a working hours scheduled from 8am to 5pm. The weather file was a TMY file from Brisbane, Australia.
The results are kind of weird as the highest temperature occurs at 5pm for some of the day. I believe this is due to all the heat were gather within the room and have no path to release from the indoor to the outdoor. Also, the Zone Windows Total Heat Loss Energy is 0J while the zone temperature is higher than the site temperature.
So my question is how to take into heat loss into account?
