How to model GFRP composite laminate in ansys workbench ?
In workbench you can use (cohesive zone material CZM) bilinear with traction and separation distance or with fracture energy with contact elements (CONTA174 & TARG170). You can also use (cohesive zone material CZM) with Interface elements (INTER) with exponential/bilinear material model for interface delamination. in ansys APDL you can insert a command for the CZM material and in workbench you can create a CZM material in the engineering data and input the parameters. you can model it as a simple surface and then obtain the parameter based on your surface conditions either from an experimental program if you conduct one, or from references and articles available in literature.
How to model GFRP composite laminate in ansys workbench ?
in general, for laminate simulation it's better to go to ANSYS Composite PrepPost (ACP) and then import to workbench for further analysis.
