Step1: Define the material for strut:- Calculate the E for infill and input that rest everything keep same. Go to user defined material.

Step 2: Define the Section : Calculate the width of strut and input width of strut as depth and thickness of infill as width.

Step 3: Select Draw Frame Option, and join the nodes keeping pinned and selecting the section.

Step 4 : Assign hinges as per your literature review .

Would the hinges properties be defined as a deformation controlled Axial P hinge?

yes hinges are defined as axial P hinge. normally I place the hinge at the center of the strut

I am also trying to model masonry infill wall using compressive strut in SAP2000. I followed similar steps as Venkatesh mentioned above. I am trying to assign a Axial p hinge to infill frame section (with end moments released and tension limits set to zero) but it shows 'error in assigning hinges: requested calculated properties may not be available for material or section type.' What should I do? Please help me.

This is because material you defined is masonry and then you are trying to give it a steel Braces axial hinge.

Yes I solved it but I don't exactly remember as to where I faced that problem (at which step) in SAP 2000. Send me a simple model and I will let you know where the problem is.
