If you are interested in measuring of maximum temperature for structural composite materials taking into account the softening temperature, the well-known tests of heat stability (Martens, Vicat) as well as DMA method may be used.
Ultra-high temperature ceramic matrix composites (UHTCMC) or Ultra-high Temperature Ceramic Composites (UHTCC) are a class of refractory ceramic matrix composites (CMCs), which aspires to overcome the limits associated with currently used CMCs (C/C and C/SiC) in aerospace field as thermal protection systems (TPS) and ...

Ultra high temperature ceramic matrix composite - Wikipedia
Carbon fibers are the most economical with good mechanical properties and could sustain 400°C under oxidizing conditions and higher temperatures if supply of oxygen is limited. Ceramic fibers provide a much higher temperature range. Most of them can sustain 1000°C as compared with about 400°C for carbon fibers.
