the product of a synthesis i work on is a highly viscous fluid, it barely flows at room temp, but it can flow when it is heated for a bit. i only have a small amount of this product and i was wondering what is the best way to measure its density?

If you can get it fluid enough to draw into a small syringe, then you can use the syringe to transfer a known volume into a vial on a balance, to determine the mass. I don't know how much is a "small amount," but if you can get at least 25 µL into a 250 µL syringe, and have a balance that is trustworthy down to the mg-level, you should be able to determine the density ±5%.
