How to measure career satisfaction, especially for those musical specialists who worked in higher education with dual identification(teacher & performer)? Anyone could recommend the proper measurements? Or some suggestions?
There is a questionnaire to measure job satisfaction called MSQ. It consists of six sections including payment system, type of job, job opportunities, administrative atmosphere, leadership style and physical condition. I think this questionnaire will be suitable if you'll want to enter the field of psychology more.
There are several ways to measure job satisfaction. Among them by using a job description index scale (Job Description Index), with a Minnesota job satisfaction questionnaire (Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire), as well as with measurements based on pictures of facial expressions. Try creating a questioner which provides a comparison between their current job and their dreaming job. In analyzing the answers, the distance thy feel from current job to their dreaming job may indicate the measure of their dissatisfaction with their current job.
