Cycad butterfly is becoming a problem in ornamental nurseries as the damage will be visible only after full emergence of new foliage. The insect will feed on the developing new leaves. Please provide some solutions for better management of cycad buttefly.

First we need to know which insectides are registered to control this insect in you country.
I would suggest to choose one of the which is systemic and to apply it areas where damage by this ibnsect was registered.

The Cycad Blue is extending its known distribution to colonise plant nurseries in different parts of the country, eg, it has recently been reported from Delhi. As long as infected plants are moved about the country, the risk of infection will be present. At present, our state of knowledge on the subject is at the stage where the only method of control for outbreaks of this species is application of insecticides, which might be chemical or derived from plants. In due course, a better understanding of its egg parasites, larval parasites and pupal parasites might yield remedies that target this species to the exclusion of others.
