I have an organic molecule and I want to study it through Cyclic Voltammetry (CV) in dimethylformamide (DMF). What salt should I use as supporting electrolyte and what should be its concentration? Is there a way to determine the concentration of the supporting electrolyte? My main worry is about the reference electrode. Which reference electrode will be the best for this study? I wish to use Pt-working Electrode and Pt-Counter Electrode along with the Reference Electrode. Can I take out the aqueous KCl solution from Ag/AgCl,KCl(1M) reference electrode which I use for aqueous systems, and then fill the glass tube with DMF and then carry out the work?
