Hello everyone,

Im doing a pushover Analysis of a cantilever beam in ABAQUS, made of reinforced concrete, but my model doesnt seem to converge proberly. The program simply aborts before hitting a run away value, see attach graph. The beam is exposed to bending of course.

I have tested the material model by doing an uniaxial compressive and tensile test, both without rebars and with rebars located in the center of the beam. Doing these tests the model works fine, meaning the calculated responses from ABAQUS are identical to the inputted stress-strain curves.

I have tried the pushover analysis with both the smeared cracking model and the plastic damage model of concrete, but the results are the same. Furthermore I have tested different mesh sizes which all should be within the limitations.

Have anyone some experience to share regarding this? :)
