I am currently working on producing an optimal ferrofluid for a student project. Despite my efforts and attempts with both coprecipitation and thermal decomposition methods, I have not achieved satisfactory results. Most of my samples experience agglomeration during the experiments. I would appreciate it if anyone with experience in this field could advise me on how to modify the experimental conditions or procedures to obtain a high-quality ferrofluid comparable to commercial samples.
