How to maintain OD in 96 well plate for Aspergillus fumigatus?

Currently i am working on research project based on screening of compounds against Aspergillus fumigatus. Unfortunately i am continuously facing some problems in term of evaluation of growth of organism in 96-well plate. Due to the cotton formation i am unable to measure the accurate optical density in both control and treated cells. Can you please be so kind to guide me in this regard, how can i perform my experiments with Aspergillus in 96-well plates?
