I'm seeking to model species mass transfer in water electrolysis, yet I'm confused approaching the study since I'm always facing the fact that all mass transfer theories and models are established between liquid-gas phase interface.
I would appreciate any orientation or help on how should I approach the problem, as well as sharing with me any relevant books, forums or research papers that may help me out.

Are you trying to model mass transfer in Single-phase or two-phase flow? What type of channel? Adiabatic or diabetic flows? There are plenty of papers dealing with mass transfer problems, one of them is erosion problem which is a thinning of the pipe wall that is usually happening downstream of pipe fitting such as valves, orifices and elbows. In this case there is mass transfer and it was reported that it is higher in case of single phase flow than two-phase. So, yes mass transfer is happening without phase change.

Yes, it's a single phase liquid mixture that flows through a channel. The flow is adiabatic assuming an ideal mixture.
As far as to my knowledge, and basing on the Maxwell-Stefan approach to mass transfer, the velocities differences are absolute values and independent of the frame of reference. Therefore, one need other relations as bootstraps to have an idea about the mixture in a whole. Basing on that, I'm looking for any resources to how one proceed coupling this latter with the Navier-Stokes equations maybe using CFD in my case.
